Diagnostic: Pathology

Piramal Diagnostics and Dr Phadke's Pathology Laboratory (ISO Certified) has come together to launch a state-of-the art pathology laboratory at Bhakti Vedanta Hospital.

The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) has accredited the joint venture of Piramal Diagnostics & Dr Phadke's Pathology laboratory & Infertility Centre Ltd.

Being one of the foremost pathology investigation labs in the city, quality tests using modern pathological technology and following the latest ISO guidelines are conducted here. The lab houses RX Daytona, a fully automated random access analyser with a capacity of 450 tests per hour. At a time, the machine can perform 40 different tests on patient samples using dedicated bar-coded reagents and ensure accurate diagnostic testing. It also has the facility to perform endpoint and kinetic assays, both monochromatically and bi-chromatically for a variety of clinical chemistry parameters.

The lab also has Medica Easy Blood Gas Analyser, designed for direct measurement of PH, PO2 & PCO2 whole blood samples. These parameters are important especially for ICU patients on ventilator to know about hypoxia, adjustment of oxygen level, saturation of oxygen etc. Other machines include automated electrolyte analyser, haematological analyser, Coag-UNO for PT & PTT and DT-60 Machine.
