The department has vast application. Here all sorts of test are done for different purposes in different Psychological problems. Psychological tests are better viewed as microscopic examination or X-rays of mental functioning.
Psychometric Test is done for assessment of Intelligence quotient (IQ) memory and aptitude. These tests are done on children of the age 2 and above including mentally retarded children and children having other learning disorder.
Personality test:   Personality tests for children are done for various problems like

1. Behavioral problems
2. Lack of motivation to studies
3. Fear of exam
4. Lack of self-confidence
5. Nervousness and
6. Adjustment problems.

Personality tests are done for adults having marital disharmony, anxiety and depression problems.

Psycho diagnostic test
These tests are done for helping Psychiatrist if problem of differential diagnosis arises or to monitor the recovery of patient objectively and also for children’s behavioral problems. To find Psyhogenic factors.

Treatment
Apart from the above tests, Psychotherapeutic techniques are used for treatment of children as well as of adults, who suffer from various problems or Psychosomatic diseases like Maladjustment, emotional disturbance, marital disharmony, anxiety, depressive reactions or other stress related problems. These problems are dealt with these techniques very effectively. These techniques comprising of counseling and deep muscle relaxation based on Psychogenic factors are formed objectively after the appropriate tests application.
