Preventive Nutrition
All the food served to all the patients is Prasad offered to Lord Jagannath, Baldev & Subhadra at the kitchen altar. There is no outside food allowed and Meat, Fish, Eggs etc are strictly prohibited.
The services of meal are done in a very systematic manner by the collective effort of the whole diet department, including the dietician, kitchen personnel and service boys.
The service of food in Bhaktivedanta Hospital is decentralized food service. The service is done with the help of trolley (Baine Marie) which is well equipped with all the equipments and food items required for service. This trolley is filled with hot food and other requirements. Food is plated in trays for each patient according to the individual requirement and is served to the patient by the diet service boys. Such trays are filled at a time and hot food is served.
