Medical: Paediatrics

Since the inception of the Hospital, Pediatric Department of Bhaktivedanta Hospital serves to the community. Paediatric department was started under the guidance of Dr. N. B. Kumta, Dr. Ajay Sankhe (Directory and Head) and Dr. Sanjay Prabhu (chief Intensivist). Their contribution, hard work and foresight has given this dept. its excellence in all respect. Dr. Ajay Sankhe is the head of department.

II     Indoor Services

Provided in the form of NICU, PICU and PGW, located on 2nd floor. Adult and children all are provided child friendly environment in terms of the ambience, provision of toys, children’s magazines, and loving care of staff and doctors. Vegetable food as the need and choice of child. Parents are provided the space, bedding to sleep at night, as well as guidance and spiritual help.

III    Services  in coordination with maternity department

1. Nursery Care (Babies kept with mother)
2. Antenatal
3. Neonatal Serving
4. Breast feeding promotion activities are also carried out
5. Training of mothers to take care of their babies and especially breast-feeding.

IV    Continuous Education

Every Wednesday, we invite Pediatrician for interactive case discussion and super rounds are conducted for the indoor patients
Once a month a Paediatric super specialist speaker is invited to share their experiences and enlighten us on subjects of their interest.

V      Teaching and Training to trainee Nursing students about the Paediatric and moral aspects of Nursing is also provided by our Department.
