The Department of Psychiatry is functional from 1998, the beginning of the hospital. It gives the services of psychiatrist, clinical psychologist and counselors.

Patients with various psychiatric disorders like depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, psychosis, schizophrenia, mania and obsessive-compulsive disorder can be treated. Psychiatric problems in children as well as old age population can be treated. Facilities for admitting patients as well as electro convulsive therapy are available at the hospital at very reasonable cost.
