Presenting to you Power Foods Series #Recipe No. 2: #HerbalCoffee


INGREDIENTS





  • 2 cups of Water




  • 2 tablespoon of Jaggery




  • 2 crushed Whole Cardamoms




  • 1 teaspoon of Dry Ginger Powder (Soonth)




  • 1 teaspoon of Whole Black Pepper or Pepper Powder




  • ½ teaspoon of Cumin Seeds




  • 2 tablespoon of Whole Coriander Seeds (Dhania Seeds)




  • 4 - 5 Basil Leaves (Tulsi Leaves)




  • 1 teaspoon of Sugar





BREWING METHOD





  • In a pot pour water, put Jaggery, Cardamoms, Ginger Powder, Pepper, Cumin Seeds, Tulsi Leaves and boil till Jaggery dissolves completely




  • On a tava put Whole Coriander Seeds, Sugar and roast till sugar caramelizes




  • Add roasted Whole Coriander Seeds & caramelized sugar mixture to the boiled water in the pot, mix well and cover the pot with a lid for 5 minutes




  • Strain and pour the coffee into a mug and drink it piping hot
