Lack
of a dedicated Therapeutic Endoscopy Institute
was a major lacuna in northern suburbs with consequent
reference to a select few multi-speciality hospitals,
which meant patient inconvenience and loss of
time. The Bhaktivedanta Hospital now intends to
provide round-the-clock, in-house facilities for
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy. Equipped
with frontline sophisticated Video-endoscopic
equipment and accessories alongwith a dedicated
C-arm, we hope to provide high-quality services
compliant with international standards.
The Bhaktivedanta Hospital has a rich culture
of providing comprehensive health care within
the reach of the common man. It has always held
pride in providing affordable state-of-the-art
services and introducing newer technological
advances within suburban Mumbai. The hospital
has recently had a face-lift, though the traditional
concepts and philosophy of health-service remains
the same. This prompted us to embark upon a
new venture in accordance with our holistic
approach for the diagnosis and management of
the entire spectrum of GI problems.
Therapeutic endoscopic procedures would be
performed by Dr.Durgesh Borkar, an expert in
this field with extensive experience. As has
been our practice, meticulous attention to patient
care during and post-procedure is ensured. A
personalized approach and clear discussion with
the referring doctors and patients alike along
with provision of computerized photographs and
lucid explanation of the pathologies detected
and reports using advanced software would be
