Continue Practicing Everyday Preventive Actions 

    • Cover coughs & sneezes with a tissue. 

    • Wash your hands often with soap & water for at least 20 seconds. If soap & water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains 60% alcohol. 

    • Clean frequently touched surfaces & objects daily,  using regular household detergent & water. 

    • Avoid sharing personal items like food & drinks; promote the importance of practicing good personal health habits.

    • Provide your sick household member with clean disposable face masks to wear at home, if available.

Boost your immunity to fight against Corona Virus

Answers to Common Myths about Corona Virus Infection 


    • Not Every cold/cough is corona virus infection. 

    • Taking a hot bath does not prevent the new coronavirus disease 

    • The new coronavirus infect all age group of people but older people are     worst affected 

    • Antibiotics are not effective in preventing & treating the new coronavirus. 

    • There are not any specific medicines or vaccines to prevent or treat the new coronavirus. 

    • There is no evidence that eating garlic help prevent infection with the new coronavirus. 

    • Only wear a mask if you are ill with COVID-19 symptoms (especially coughing) or looking after someone who may have COVID-19. Disposable face mask can only be used once 

    • The new coronavirus CANNOT be transmitted through mosquito bites 

    • COVID-19 virus can be transmitted in areas with hot & humid climates also. 

    • Cold weather & snow CANNOT kill the new coronavirus. 

    • Hand dryers are not effective in killing the new coronavirus. 

    • An ultraviolet disinfection lamp does not kill the new coronavirus. 

    • Thermal scanners/Cameras don’t detect infection but detect people who have developed a fever due to any reason not just coronavirus. 

    • Ordering or buying products shipped from China will not make a person sick. 

    • Coronavirus is not the deadliest virus known to man, Ebola, SARS were more deadly

Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute launches North Mumbai’s only State of the Art Pathlab by the hands of His Excellency B. S Koshiyariji, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra ~ ICMR approves the lab for COVID-19 test ~ 6th August 2020

Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute, Mira Road today announced the opening of North Mumbai’s only high tech and 24X 7 path lab. Present for the e-inauguration of the path lab were His Excellency B. S Koshiyariji, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra along with Dr. Ajay Sankhe – Director, Bhaktivedanta Hospital, Hrishikesh Mafatlal- Chairman and Board of Trustee, Dr Venkat - CSR Head Hospital and Yachneet Pushkarna CEO social initiatives- Govardhan Eco Village. The lab received approval from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to test for COVID-19 and is the only lab in the region which uses Artificial Intelligence in clinical pathology.


The lab will be closely working with local hospitals and Palghar, Thane and Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) to test suspected coronavirus infections in the region. The newly launched lab is equipped to process 500 tests on a per day basis and can be scaled up to 1000 and follows the pricing as per ICMR guidelines. Fully automated frozen section, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and complete Oncopathology service maintains the highest level of international standards and promises to reduce the turnaround time for hospitalization of the patient.


His Excellency B. S Koshiyariji, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, on launching the path lab shares, “We need to strengthen our healthcare ecosystem, break the silo and have public and private hospitals work together to fight Corona. Every step matters and every effort counts in this fight.”
