Trauma & Emergency Centre
Overview
The Trauma and Emergency Centre at the Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute is located at the ground to respond fastest during emergencies like accidents, heart attack, strokes, etc. Our Centre has an integrated approach for providing maximum benefit and convenience to patients and their families.
Our emergency room is well-equipped and supported by trained doctors, nurses, paramedics and other supporting staff under the guidance of Consultant/Super Consultant for immediate care to critical patients. We have High Dependency Unit (HDU) within the Emergency Centre where the patients can be kept on full life support, equivalent to ICU.
Our consultants and super consultants are available on call throughout the year including holidays and Sunday for prompt admission and procedure services. The emergency room is always deployed with at least two doctors for all 24 hours assisted by experts in critical medicine.
Services
The emergency room is the face of the institute, where critical cases come first and are stabilized by trained doctor, nurse, paramedics and other supportive staff under the guidance of consultant /super consultant.
Patients/relatives gets options of modality for further management whether they want to continue treatment here and be admitted to respective wards or want to go to another hospital of their choice.
In cases where relatives prefer going to another hospital, we transfer such patients by our ambulance with prior communication with doctors and staff.
Facilities
We have Triage room at the Trauma and Emergency Centre to initiate diagnostic and therapeutic measures as appropriate.
Clinical examination room to examine the patients.
Designated CPCR area for resuscitation of cardiac arrest patients.
HDU - where all critical patients are closely monitored and kept as transit ICU patient.
Procedure room - where all minor procedures like closure of wounds, ligation of bleeder can be performed with many other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
2 Cardiac Ambulances are available to provide assistance to cardiac patients.
Separate Billing counter and reception for Trauma and Emergency cases for ease of patients.
