  • a. Neonatal ICU (NICU)-

    • i. Overview- A neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is an intensive care unit specializing in the care of ill or premature
      newborn infants. Neonatal refers to the first 28 days of life. We are level IIIA (GPC-2016) Neonatal intensive
      care unit with 10 bedded modern NICU setup with servo controlled warmers, oxygen blender, ventilators, bubble CPAP
      units, High flow units, phototherapy units, invasive lines and syringe pumps. We provide specialized care for preterm
      babies (>28 weeks gestation and/or >900 grams) with trained nursing staff. In house facilities for neurology,
      neonatal surgeries and diagnostic cardiology also provided for difficult cases. Difficult cases are being followed
      up in a specialized OPD ‘High risk clinic’ where they are being given focused and detailed care for healthy development
      and better outcome.

  • b. Pediatric ICU (PICU) –

    • i. Overview- A pediatric intensive care unit, usually abbreviated to PICU, is an area within a hospital specializing
      in the care of critically ill infants, children, and teenagers. A PICU is typically directed by one or more pediatric
      intensivists and staffed by doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists who are specially trained and experienced
      in pediatric intensive care. We have four bedded Pediatric intensive care unit, for specialized and intensive care
      of critically ill children of > 1month of age. We have facilities of ventilation, portable x-ray, in house 24
      hrs. sonography, 2 D echo, CT scan and fully equipped lab support. Our teams of intensivists, nursing staff are
      well trained to handle emergencies and to provide best possible outcomes. We have full support of pediatric sub
      specialties like neurology, cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology and child

  • a. Pediatric Neurology -

    • i. Overview- The Child Neurology Clinic specializes in treating the full range of neurological, behavioral and developmental
      conditions in infants, children and adolescents. This basically involves expertise to diagnose, treat, and manage
      diseases, disorders, or dysfunction of the central and peripheral nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves, and
      muscles). These diseases include epilepsy, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, muscular dystrophy, headaches, metabolic
      and genetic diseases of the nervous system, learning, behavioral disorders like autism and hyperactivity, as well
      as nervous system complications of systemic diseases or infections (e.g.- meningitis and encephalitis), in infancy,
      childhood, and adolescence. The clinic despite being extremely busy and catering to over a hundred children a month,
      still considers the child’s sense of well-being as an essential part of any treatment plan. We thereby provide
      a nurturing atmosphere, with the goal of personalizing patient experience every step of the way. The services of
      the department apart from OPD consultation is looking after indoor patients care with neurological conditions and

  • b. High Risk Clinic-

    • i. Overview-Improving perinatal and neonatal care has led to increased survival of infants who are at-risk for long-term
      morbidities such as developmental delay and visual/hearing problems. Moreover, many of these neonates (e.g. extremely
      low birth weight infants) tend to have higher incidence of growth failure and ongoing medical illnesses. A proper
      and appropriate follow-up program would help in early detection of these problems thus paving way for early intervention.

      High risk infants’ follow-up requires a multidisciplinary approach involving a team of pediatricians, child psychologist,
      pediatric neurologist, ophthalmologist, otorhinolaryngologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, medical
      social worker, and a dietician. In this OPD, high risk neonates (NICU graduates) are being followed up regularly,
      overall assessment is done to ensure that these babies attain their maximum potential overall as they grow.

      up is utmost Important for better outcome. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology provides a full range of ambulatory
      and inpatient diagnostic and consultative cardiac services for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with
      congenital and acquired cardiac problems, including long-term care and preventive cardiology services.

    • i. Overview- Pediatric Endocrinology is a medical subspecialty dealing with disorders of the endocrine glands which
      release hormones and help regulation of growth and metabolism in children. Our goal is to provide a compassionate
      professional guidance to the parents regarding childhood diabetes, child's growth and other hormones involved in
      puberty, thyroid and bone metabolism.

    • i. Overview- The division of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery strives to bring sub-specialized inpatient and outpatient
      care to children of all ages, for a wide range of conditions, including developmental, congenital, neuromuscular,
      and post-traumatic problems of the musculoskeletal system, from general orthopedics, scoliosis and other spinal
      conditions, hip dysplasia, orthopedic trauma and sports-related injuries. Our outpatient pediatric orthopedic clinics
      provide on-site radiology examinations. Orthopedic conditions require collaboration and care, which is why our
      dedicated team collaborates with other pediatric subspecialists, physical therapy and rehabilitation teams to provide

    • i. Overview- The Centre for Ophthalmology at Bhaktivedanta Hospital and Research Institute is known as The Teton
      Family Vision Foundation (TFVF). It is the largest clinical department in the hospital with maximum number of full-time
      consultants and staff. We are equipped with skillful and experienced Ophthalmologists with a separate specialty
      as pediatric ophthalmology. The department functions through a well-equipped OPD, dedicated State-of-the-art Ophthalmic
      Theatre. Our Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology specialists offer care for children and adolescent eye diseases,
