Overview
Bhaktivedanta Hospital's Lions Juhu Aruna Abhey Oswal Super Specialty Eye Care Centre is one of the largest and most comprehensive ophthalmology departments in the Mira Road–Bhayandar region, serving over 68,000 patients and performing 16,000+ eye surgeries every year.
The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmic diagnostic and therapeutic technology, including corneal topography, dry eye analyzer, fundus camera, OCT, perimetry, B-scan, hand-held slit lamp photography, phacoemulsification systems, and retinal lasers — enabling comprehensive care under one roof, from routine vision concerns to complex retinal, corneal, and pediatric eye conditions.
Through sustained community outreach, the centre has conducted 7,530 eye screening camps to date, reaching 5,52,620 beneficiaries, detecting 1,48,983 people with cataract, and enabling 1,11,173 surgeries as a direct result of this outreach program. The centre is equipped to manage all kinds of ophthalmic emergencies, is supported by an in-house optical facility (Krishna Opticals), and is registered under the Human Organ Transplant Act for corneal transplantation services. Cashless and card-based insurance options are accepted, with all major insurance providers supported.
